Scope: WORLDWIDE Name of Products: Nuby Brand Gel Filled Teethers Units: About 1700 units Manufacturer: Luv N’ Care of Monroe, LA Hazard: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in cooperation with Luv N’ Care, is recalling all Nuby Gel Filled Teethers which contains bacteria. These products have been found to contain Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus circulans in the gel. These bacteria generally do not cause illness. However, the bacteria can affect children with weakened immune systems, causing stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea, if the teether is punctured and the liquid from the teether is ingested. Incidents/Injuries: None known Description: Nuby Gel Filled Teethers UPC # 048526004553 Remedy: Consumers who have Nuby Gel Filled Teethers should stop using them immediately. The affected teethers should be returned to your nearest AAFES retail store for a full refund.
