DISTRIBUTION: WORLDWIDE The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with the Army & Air Force Exchange (AAFES), Dallas, TX, is recalling Soldier Bear Learning Toys manufactured by First Learning Company Limited and Toy World as listed below due to high levels of lead in the surface paints used on the wooden toys. Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately. Name of the Product: “Soldier Bear” Brand- Learning Toys (styles listed below) Units: About 11,400 Importer: Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), Dallas, TX Manufacturer: Learning Company Limited of Hong Kong (Wooden Toys) Manufacturer: Toy World Group Co. Ltd. of Hong Kong (Military Vehicle Playset) Hazard: The surface paint on the toys contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. Incidents/Injury: None reported. DESCRIPTION: This recall involves following wooden toys and a plastic military vehicle toy playset. The style number, Universal Product Codes and Soldier Bear logos are printed on the packaging.
